Holidays

I am really excited about the upcoming holidays. Well, actually, I am just really excited to see my family for Thanksgiving. My kids talk about seeing Uncle Brock ALL the time. I think it is so cute. Out of all of my siblings, he is the one we see the least, and I guess that they look forward to every moment with his family! Scrubba is up making a book about our Thanksgiving this year and it talks only of Brock and his family. I am happy about this for many reasons:
1. I love that my kids love their family members near and far
2. I love that I have been blessed with such wonderful family members on both sides of the family....I am the luckiest girl in the world!
3. I love that Scrubba is actually doing some writing on his own! The kid usually doesn't like to write/draw/anything using his fine motor skills!
4. I love that KK DOES love to do all of those things on her own, maybe she is rubbing off on him.
5. I love that I have control of my radio and I don't have to listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving is over...okay, that was a random one, but I really like to enjoy each holiday one at a time!

Belated Halloween Picts

Our pumpkins look a little over-ripe, but the kids are cute, right? KK started right in on her candy as soon as she got it. Scrubba was like his mom and wanted to save it, count it, sort it, and he hardly asks for any of it. I remember saving my candy for over a year and using it to bribe my siblings to do things for me. Bubs was always the one to fall for it! One year I stuffed it between my mattresses and it melted all over and made a huge mess...I don't know if I ever confessed to that....Sorry mom! Anyway, the Hus took the kids out this year and I got to stay home and read a good book. I loved it! I call I get to stay home every year!

True Aggies

I am really slacking with my blog. I usually only have time to view every one's blogs, and never add to mine! So, this picture is of some of the loot we got from Utah State's Homecoming parade. I was excited because we got shirts that are fun and yes, we got ice cream! We also got tons of candy that helped the kids get their sweet tooth's ready for Halloween. We went to the parade and then the boys all went to the football game. Go Aggies. I love how the kid shirt says to show me a true-blooded Aggie...that is exactly what our kids will be! That is where I met my dear husband and we have many wonderful memories of our time there at USU!

My favorite "Witch"

We have a grandma who was born on Halloween! We love to go visit her, and so we decided to go down to see her and bring her a birthday dinner and let the kids show off their Halloween costumes to their favorite Halloween Grandma! We had a wonderful time! We love her so much. It is this grandma who gives me my squinty eyes, who taught my mother to love music and who in turn has taught me to love music, she is the grandma who shed blood, sweat and tears to make my daughter a beautiful cross-stitch quilt that I love. She is the one who has taught me how to knit darling baby hats (that take me forever but they are worth it!) She is a wonderful grandma who loves us so much! Happy 75th Granny! We love you!!

Family+Motorcycle=Fun

Here is the motorcycle that we got when we were in Colorado visiting the family. We were all together and so we took turns riding it a bit. It was lots of fun. It was especially exciting to see my sweet hubby taking his turn on the baby bike.

Sleeping Beauty and Brother too

I love sleeping children, okay, I love them awake too, but sleeping they are so wonderful. Like my friend Becky says, "I fall in love with them all over again when they sleep!" I agree with her completely. Scrubba is a very normal sleeper. We read stories, say prayers, and give a hug and a kiss and in a few short minutes he is sleeping blissfully. KK on the other hand, has her own set of rules. We read some stories, where she insists on sitting in a very specific spot in the chair that leaves me hanging off the edge during the whole thing. Then, she has to find all of the things that she wants in her bed with her, like in the photo, it ended up being the books we read, her baby, and a number of blankets. Once her arms are full of things to sleep with, she has to turn off her light and then she tries to fold her arms around all of the things(..one day i will learn how to infiltrate this thing...) Okay, that was a strange add-in from the hubby, anyway, she fold her arms around all of her things to say her prayers...which are darling to hear! Finally, she leans over to kiss me good-night. I lay her down, and she organizes all of her things and eventually she sleeps. Usually one of us goes in later to clear her crib of the mayhem and allow her some sleeping space. That is how we got this picture. I love her little hand resting on her cheek. I love it even more knowing that my sweet hubby was the one who painted her little finger nails while I was at a meeting. Life is good.
