SIX!!

Our sweet Scrubba the Wubba turned six at the end of March! What a handsome little guy he is! He had french toast with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast and was so excited to bring some treats for his class at school.

Scrubba loves Pokemon. Honestly, I have know idea why kids like them, I guess I am just old! He wanted a Pokemon cake and so....here is Bulbasaur the Pokemon. He took me quite a while to finish, but it was nothing compared to the Buzz Lightyear cake I did for his 3rd birthday!

We had a fun party with 20 kids and some parents as well. We ate pizza, opened gifts (more toys and things that I have no clue about), had cake and ice cream, and then we went to a place called Jumping Jacks that is a huge room filled with blow up slides/toys etc. FUN, FUN, FUN!! All of the kids played hard, and so did some of the adults. Let's just say that we all slept well that night! Happy Birthday Bud!! We love you sooooo much!

Girls Weekend

I just got back from a girls weekend with my mom, sisters, aunt, and even my oldest niece. We had a wonderful time talking, eating, shopping, watching movies, getting facials/manicures/pedicures, etc. I feel so rejuvenated! I love spending time with people who literally lift me to higher ground. I have come home a better wife, mother....person! Thanks ladies, for the wonderful time together! Let's do it again soon, and let's make sure ALL of us can be there! Also, I need to thank my sweet in-laws for watching my kids, and for my amazing husband who took the second shift of the kiddo watch just so I could go. He even did KK's hair so cute for church! I married the best!

Friends

I started a facebook account, and I love it. I just got finished visiting with a dear friend from a long time ago. I am not the person who wants to keep in touch with all of my high school friends just because I miss high school--actually it is quite the opposite! The people that I am visiting with the most are the ones that I have known all of my life! I grew up in a very small town and many of us have known one another for the last 30 years. Well, that is not accurate, because I have not kept in contact with them since graduation! Anyway, I love that even though we may have all gone different directions in life, many of us are doing the same kinds of things. Many of the girls are raising families, cleaning house, and enjoying motherhood. Many of the guys are doing the same things that my sweet hubby does on a daily basis. I guess that I am feeling a little surprised, because I felt SO different from them. I felt like I was going to be the only stay-at-home-mom while they all went out and did amazing things, traveled the world, became rich and famous....but, I was wrong. We are more alike than I thought, and I am happy to know this. Not that I didn't look forward to MY GOALS of being what I am now...I just wondered if I would feel out of place at a class reunion because I was the only one with those goals! And, while I am writing this long, long, post. I also realized just how blessed I am! Many of my friends from my past have endured so many hardships...ones that I can't even imagine dealing with. I remember being young, and feeling so strong, so unbreakable. Our little community was so safe, and secure. It never occurred to me that some of the hardships that adults spoke of could or would ever happen to any of us, and yet, they have. I know I have been blessed with so many things, and tonight I have been blessed with the knowledge of those blessings. Life is wonderful.

Scrubba's Lost A Tooth!

The other day, Scrubba came up to me and said that there was something stuck behind his tooth. We had just eaten popcorn, so I thought it was a kernel or something. I had him brush and floss etc. He said it was still there, so I took a look and....he had a permanent tooth coming in behind his baby teeth! The permanent tooth was one and a half times the size of his baby tooth...and that seemed like it would be a problem! One of his baby teeth wiggled, but just a little bit, but the other one in the way didn't hardly move at all! We called the dentist, and he told us to wiggle it ourselves for a few days to see if we could get it out on our own, and if that didn't work to have him come in for an extraction! Long story short, we ended up with an extraction and Scrubba had lost his 1st tooth! He was sooooooo excited. He and his daddy went to the store to get some ice cream to celebrate and while they were there, the necklace holding the lost tooth fell off in the parking lot and Scrubba was pretty worried. But don't worry, our Super Hero Dad found the necklace, and the tooth in no time flat! Scrubba could not sleep all night, he was too anxious about the Tooth Fairy coming! Finally, at 4 A.M. he called me to come into his room so that he could tell me that the Tooth Fairy had come, and had left him a card. He refused to look at it though...he wanted to wait until the morning! When he woke up, he was happy to find his surprise! It was a fun day, and now KK is constantly asking if the dentist is going to take out her teeth!

Montana Trip

In February, I went with my sister Bree to surprise our other sister, Braumlee for her 30th birthday. These are a few pictures of that day. We had so much FUN! We have never really been able to surprise Braum--she usually does all the surprising in our family, and we got her GOOD! I have a wonderful family that I love so much. Pictures! I know, it's a shock!

Here are just a few pictures of my KK. I just love how each day...no scratch that, each hour she can be a completely different person! One day she wanted to go to school like Scrubba, so she put on his backpack, and our neighbor's frog boots and waved good-bye to me! This all happened not long after she told me she had to have on a princess dress (she settled for the skirt that she is wearing). The next day, she wanted to wear her tu-tu. Gramzy bought it for her and she loves it. Gramzy also bought her the cowgirl boots that she is wearing with the tu-tu. I thought she looked darling! She loved the opportunity for the photo shoot! Then, on one of the days that I was babysitting, all the kids played pirates....she fit right in! In the pirate picture, my kids are on the far left, and then in the middle on the right. Anyway, I sure love my girl!

An Update...

We had our ultrasound and we didn't find out what we are having....and I am loving it! It was my hubby's plan to not find out b/c he wants the big surprise when the baby is born. I always love to know just for planning reasons. Anyway, I have had my way for the last 2 kids and was fine with trying it his way! The best part of the whole deal is that it is driving HIM CRAZY!!! He can't decide if he made the right decision...he wonders if he still wants to know! I love seeing the decision torment him! We will have to see what the future brings, we may find out on HIS terms ONLY! I will not give in! I am more stubborn than that. All in all I feel great. The baby moves lots and it is soooo fun for me. We have been to Montana and are going to Colorado soon, without daddy (someone has to work around here!) We are excited for the chance to see our family in other states! Our kids travel great and that helps. Anyway, that is our update. The huz thinks he wants to edit this post...let's see if he can figure it out!
